Hey there friends! It's been a while since I have posted and I do have to apologize for that! Hectic schedules keep interrupting my post times and life always seems to get in the way!

Anyhow, all things considered, I was sidelined by a broken rib and separated shoulder! Don't ask how it happened but, it did! The picture to the right is as of 2 months ago. As you can see, the abdominal wall is coming through and the body is tightening up a bit.
I have started back with light workouts and keeping my diet up. I haven't made too much more as far as progress goes but, with a bit more time, it will happen. I am lifting light as for now, trying to increase my reps and weight with every workout. I will keep everyone updated as I can.

Bodyrev came out with another attachment for their Perfect Pullup gym! The dip station that attaches very easily. It has adjustable handles, and it actually is an awesome piece of equipment to have!
Drive on and keep your goals in sight!

Tuesday, March 31, 2009

Hi there friends,
Once again, I got sent back out and came back to Houston. I am ready to get back home to Paris, Texas! Get back to my little home gym, work out daily again, get back on my diet, and go from there. I do know that the 60 day mark is going to pass by and I am nowhere near the mark I set for myself!
If you choose to follow the workout and diet, have an erratic schedule, and do not follow it, you will experience the same type of setbacks. Just don't give up!! That is the key to anything you do in life. Drive toward your personal goals, and even if you get setback a bit don't worry. Just plug away and remember why it is you decided to make the change in the first place.

60 day workout. Back from Off-shore and getting back into it!

Hello Friends,
Remember when I said there would be set backs? Well, when you work in the industry I work in, those are massive! I was just out to sea and the vessel I was on had no gym, nor healthy food sources. It was all deep fried, fatty foods from hell! Needless to say, the set back was big!
I am getting back into the swing of things though. Home cooking, no fatty foods, and a gym here in the company apartments. I am in Houston, for 2 weeks and will be hitting the weights hard and heavy!
I don't know whether I will succeed in my quest. If I don't, I will continue to plug away until I get there. It's the heart you put into the program that counts. I have talked to Yvonne, and the great news is that she has lost 10 pounds! Congrats and keep it up!

60 day workout - Day 8

Hi friends,
Well, it's day 8 and, as expected, the weight is going down. Cool thing is, my strength is getting back to old form, and I am going to have to get heavier weights soon!
Now, here's a challenge for you all. I just got called to go to work; the kicker is, I work on a boat! No gym, no weights, no scale, and crappy/fatty foods. So, I am going to a pure body weight workout, and if you want the diet, and exercises I am going to be using, email me at selbyconsulting@yahoo.com
Okay, I can't upload pictures. Wow! This internet on here is slow and dicey! It's okay though, I can't wait to get the pics up when I get home. If I can do this out here, then it's proof anyone can do it.

60 day workout - Day 6

Hello to everyone who is following this blog,
It's day 5 and, already, I am feeling the effects of my training. You know, it's a great feeling to feel the muscles tighten in the morning, to look in the mirror and see the results of the previous day's efforts.
Okay, so down to business. If you are wanting to start this workout, you need 3 things. First, is the equipment; which can all be purchased at your local Wal-Mart (for those of you in the states), and if you don't have a Wal-Mart, or anywhere that carries the Perfect Pushup/Pullup, then the site for purchase is : http://www.perfectpushup.com
On the site, they have a combo special that will save you money. The dumbbells, and Kettle Bell can be purchased at any fitness store.
Second, you will need the supplements. The main products I am using are from Vitamark International. I know, this sounds like a shameless plug but, they do work! Using the Limu Plus and Vita Ones, I have more energy, sleep better, and feel like I am a teenager again. I am as skeptical as the next person and will make an offer, should you choose to accept it; buy the products I am using, if you don't feel a difference in the way you feel, Vitamark carries a 100% guarantee. Just give this an honest shot though, that's all I ask. Here's the link for the supplements : https://www.vitamark.com/744205
Third, you need the determination to make a change in your life. Find a reason to do this, a "why", find your inspiration and the rest will fall into place. Set weekly goals for yourself and, see them through! It might be to drop 3 pounds in the first week, do 2 more reps by week 1, increase your cardio by 2 minutes, or any combination. Write your goals, and your inspiration, down and put them on the bathroom mirror. That way you see them first thing in the morning, and before you go to bed. Don't give up if you don't succeed in reaching your weekly goal; most people don't. It may take 2 weeks to get there.
Listen to your body too. If your muscles are screaming, "NO MORE!!!" at you, then it's time to take a day off! Overdo it and you can hurt yourself, or worse. I know, I have done it; I was a Natural Bodybuilder in Germany (stationed there with the US Army) and went 6 days a week for workouts. After the first week, I ignored my body and ripped my left pectoral tie in. That was a 10 week layoff and, I had to start over again. So pay attention to the warning signs.
In the next installment, I will begin to post a few exercises I use, step by step.

60 day workout -Day 5

Here's a tie in for everyone out there. The beauty of this is, you can use any training material you want with this! Follow my guidelines, P90X (a great program and the equipment I have ties in nicely with it), get articles out of a fitness magazine, anything. The bottom picture is my weight/bodyfat as of 02-28-2009; the next up is from today. I gained 2 pounds but, dropped 6% in bodyfat. I am also showing the mounting for the Perfect Pullup and, the resistance bands I am using.
It's a fool proof way to get healthy, fit, sexy, and feel better about you. That's what it all boils down to; what kind of drive do you have? What are your reasons for doing this? What do you hope to get out of this? These are some of the questions I have been asked, so far.
My drive is high, and will stay high.
My reasons for doing this.....Me, and my son. I want him to have an example to follow; dedication, determination, fitness, being his best at all times and, being like his Daddy. Personally, a fit person is viewed better by everyone. A boss will look at a fit person as a health issue; you are more apt to not being sick, more durable, can handle stress better and, will be more productive. A fit person gets more response from everyone; you're seen as a sign of vitality, health, and sexy (to be blunt).
In so far, 5 days mind you, I have dropped 2 pounds and 4% Body Fat. I will post the pics of the scale to prove it. This isn't hard, takes me 45 minutes a day, is both aerobic and anaerobic, and I can do it whenever I want. I still have time for the day to day activities, still have time to run a business, play with Raymond (my son), surf the Traffic Exchanges, click PTC sites, and clean/cook. See where you can get in 5 days. Use the Vitaone's, Limu Plus, and Diet Cookies; this stuff really does work! Set goals for yourself, 5 pounds in a week is doable. Just make damn sure you consult a doctor prior to doing the workouts/supplements. I can give you the diet, the workout I use, and the supplementation...for nothing! My email is below my name. My 60 day body transformation

This will be a running 60 day progress report about me, body composition, diet and exercises. With dedication, will power and, a hint of luck, I will be able to get back to 265lbs and 12% Body Fat.
This will be a weekly updated blog. I will have pictures of the supplements I will be using, workout equipment, and pictures of my before/during/after body with pictures of the scale/body fat composition. On the 18th of Feb, I did my initial weight/body fat; staggering results at 289lbs and 44% Body Fat. Should I achieve my goal, it will prove to everyone that you don't need multiple lines of supplements, a fancy gym (although it wouldn't hurt), or a personal trainer that charges by the hour. Everyone will be able to follow this; whether you are a busy executive, parent (I have a 2 year old son), living alone, or living with another. This will take 60 days, no more than that. The first picture will be of my fat self, standing in all of my inglorious stature and, with determination, I will be fit at the end of 60 days! I will start the journey on the 18th of this month.
Now just so you know, I work off-shore. So, I am gone a month and home a month. There won't be pictures, and very few updates when I am gone.
If you want the diet, and workout routine, I will be able to email them to you. If you want the supplement line that I will be, for the majority of this program, using go to the following link:
https://www.vitamark.com/join/744205

All of the workout equipment I use is at my 2 bedroom apartment. I purchased all of the items at Wal-Mart, and spent approximately $150 for all. Supplementation, of course, is a different story. We all know that whether you buy from GNC, Online site, or mailing catalog, supplements get expensive. I will be using, mainly, Vitamark supplements; although, my protein/pre-workout/post-workout will be from GNC.
I hope this will inspire people to live right. The body is a temple; if you build a strong foundation through diet, exercise, and healthy habits, it will last forever. If your foundation is weak, it will crumble and fall.
